So glad to see so many friends are also supporting the “Small Business Saturday”!  I posted an offer yesterday here on my Southport Silver website and on my Southport Silver Shells etc facebook page to share the the proceeds from shell sales this weekend (November 26 – 28) with MPBN.
Next weekend I have a shell in the Silent Auction at the Lobster Institute Holiday Event (December 1st)  with a offer to donate back to the Lobster Institute a potion of the price of shells sold to Institute supporters. I will also be at the Page Farm Museum (December 3rd) here at UMaine this coming weekend and have a similar offer to support the Museum through the sale of shells at that event. Getting ready for the holiday season can be fun …. “Life is all about Relationships”. Enjoy!
Southport Silver is delighted to be participating in both “Small Business Saturday” and “Cyber Monday”. All Fine Silver Shells and Fine Silver Sea Star sales on November 26 – 28, 2011 will generate a 15% contribution to Maine Public Broadcasting.
 

First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. November 27, 2010 was the first ever Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday is the day we celebrate the Shop Small movement to drive shoppers to local merchants across the U.S. More than 200 organizations have already joined American Express OPEN, the company’s small business unit, in declaring the Saturday after Thanksgiving as Small Business Saturday.
